When working with horses using undue force will be met with resistance, but treating a horse with respect and gentleness will result in compliance.

Our Values
Horses rely on the herd and their relationship with one another to keep them all safe. Treating a horse with compassion and understanding allows the horse to feel safe and it will then transfer this awareness to the herd.
Equine-assisted therapy is successful because it is a way for veterans to connect with themselves, strengthen their abilities and relationships, and have more confidence in participating in society.
Specific Therapeutic Outcomes, “Equine Therapy for Veterans”. (Eagala, 2024, Nov. 11)
Emotional Resilience: Veterans learn to recognize and manage their triggers, building stronger coping skills for everyday challenges.
Stress Management: Interactions with horses provide natural biofeedback, helping veterans reduce stress and improve relaxation.
Community Reintegration: By developing communication skills in therapy, veterans gain tools to navigate relationships and reintegrate into their communities.
